Who we want to hire: 

We are expanding our management team and are looking for a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) with outstanding leadership skills to establish and build up all the financial aspects. As CFO, you will set the vision and direction for both short and long-term budgeting, analysis and forecasting globally in alignment with the company’s plans for international growth and expansion. You will balance a strong vision for a growing finance team with a hands-on approach to managing all the financial operations of the business globally. You will report directly to the CEO and will interact with the Board of Directors and be a member of the Leadership team. 

 

Who you are: 

Your professional background is probably from a similar role with overall responsibility of a finance function. You have outstanding leadership skills with the experience and gravitas to work with and to challenge peers, teams, and strong individuals. You are an exceptional communicator with developed influencing and negotiation skills, including the ability to influence without direct authority. We also see that you are excellent at analytical and problem- solving. You can analyze, interpret, and solve complex issues, making sense of complex information, but also an ability to stand back and see the bigger picture. 

 

  • 8+ years of experience in a senior leadership role with demonstrated ability to help scale a business  
  • Bachelor's degree in finance or Accounting required; Master’s degree preferred  
  • Expertise leading start-ups within high growth environments  
  • Significant experience presenting to executive level and board of directors  
  • Capital raising is a must, a strong understanding of venture backed businesses and the scaling journey 
  • Experience in corporate finance, financial planning, business analysis, global finance operations, investor and board communications, accounting, and financial reporting  
  • Experience building and developing finance teams, implementing systems and structures and improving internal control and processes  
  • Experience with leading multi-location organizations with high growth preferably within Digital/Fashion Industry  
  • Big 4 experience is a plus 
  • Successful in rapidly changing environments combining complex information and dynamic technology-based solutions to deliver insight, value-added services and workflow automation and involving big data, information and analytic services, software, digital platforms, cloud services, machine learning and financial services  
  • Strong leadership skills and strategic thinker 


More about what you will be doing: 

  • Responsible for all financial functions of the organization – financial planning and reporting, tax, treasury, cash flow, audit, budget, financial planning, and analysis (FP&A), investments. 
  • Oversee digital finance transformation, development, and integration on our platform (SaaS revenue, transaction-based revenue, multicurrency and so on) 
  • Lead company-wide financial planning (three-year plan budget), business analysis (share repurchases, dividends, investments, business valuation, etc.), and support M&A execution (due diligence, financial modelling, document review) creating new growth engines for all business segments 
  • Build and develop a highly competent, data-driven, and agile team responsible for all aspects of accounting including accounts payable, accounts receivable, tax, and payroll globally 
  • Build out finance technology stack and lead system implementations. Foster an environment of continuous improvement to identify, develop, automate and implement process changes to increase efficiency, ensure accurate monthly reporting, and streamline accounting processes 
  • Provide leadership and vision for scaling the financial infrastructure and our accounting team to support the growth strategies of the business globally 
  • Challenge and support the business with financial input to contract negotiations, specifically pricing opportunity, and other investment cases.
